I have my first day of floor orientation today at the new facility.

I've somewhat acclimated myself to being awake during the day again, after five years, but I'm not getting much sleep. That will likely change once I wear myself out on the job.

Two paragraphs into editing the final draft of an essay on Plato's Apology. Going to have breakfast and then I'll be back upstairs to finish the editing.

Something really weird is happening with my laptop. I had some issues trying to get some YouTube videos to play (they worked fine on my iPad.) I tried restarting the laptop, but the issue didn't change. Eventually, I cleared my cache and cookies (this took about an hour to do completely). Things changed, but not for the better. This time, I tried to log into YouTube (and Google) and I get this message:

Fortunately, I figured out that the problem lay in the two-factor authentication. I turned that off and I finally got to log back in. YouTube on Firefox is still just refusing to play some videos for some reason.

After leaving my laptop alone for a few hours, YouTube's working properly now.

I'm hoping that this facility meets your high standards, and I'm not joking about that. We've seen how you care for the patients, and that you don't appreciate how other people there act. I've seen a bit of that where my mother-in-law spent her last days. Those people were stellar in their care.

I'm hoping that this facility meets your high standards, and I'm not joking about that. We've seen how you care for the patients, and that you don't appreciate how other people there act. I've seen a bit of that where my mother-in-law spent her last days. Those people were stellar in their care.

The last place I was at, I don't think I was even there three months. Both nurses and aides were unprofessional in an immature manner. And the facility had a propensity for having regular state visits in that short time due to staff negligence. I had to get out of there.
