Set three tasks for myself to do today
1) figure out which books on the Disturbing Books Iceberg I’m likely to find in an inexpensive hardcover.
2) Cool down since my bedroom is getting insanely warm.
3) repaint the tines on my Alto Kalimba.

Results:
1) checked over almost everything on Abebooks, and about 70 be found in hardback for less than $20.
2) After turning reprogramming the thermostat to 68 degrees and removing the pillow that fell and blocked the vent in my room, it’s down from 75 to 72 so far. Here’s hoping it gets back to Larry David Standard soon:

Turns out that nail polish is actually okay for kalimba tines. And it’s dirt cheap. At least the one I used (Sally Hansen Pucker Up) was.

Got a call from the hearing place to confirm my appointment.

Thing is, I have a text message delivered to me months ago stating the appointment was today. The receptionist left a message stating it was for tomorrow.

I'm not feeling to well, so I wanted to reschedule. Which is when he was adamant about it being tomorrow.

And I'm fairly certain before we hung up he said, "Next time answer your phone."

This cold had me shivering at 76 degree A.C. Had to close the vent in my room and the door. Now it's warm in here, and I feel better.

Made my appt for Friday to get another COVID shot (number 6) and this year's flu shot. It's probably going to be an icky weekend for me.

I don't think we in the healthfield are required to get more shots beyond the second booster. Won't go out of my way to get them unless it's necessary.

I'm old and have had health issues.  So I get to do them all!  

Just have to say I am glad I got the Shingles shots out of the way a couple years ago - BRUTAL!

In December I have to have my second pneumonia shot.  It's weird, you have to wait a year and day after your first one to get the second one.

Us also. I see that CVS has the new vax formulation in stock. Going to get my wife to sign us up for flu and covid.
