What's everyone up to right now?

I'm doing mine sometime mid Sept, then RSV a month after.

I would wait, but since I will actually be coming in contact with people in various states along the way, I figure it's best to get them.  The pharmacy sent me a text about the COVID vax yesterday and then I got the flu notification today.  Might as well get it done.

Haven't had a covid vac since the initial necessary requirement in this field of work. They haven't made it mandatory to get it yearly.

Well, I seem to be able to catch just about anything going around so I put up with all the shots.  I have had at least six COVID shots and have been getting the flu shot since 2009.  The doctors suggested I get it before my mastectomies were done so I wasn't sick and had to delay the surgery.

They never take us getting sick seriously anyway.

Supposedly, an employee recently tested positive for covid, probably how it got in the building and spread, and the person was told to "come in and mask up".

Some are recommending waiting on the Covid vaccine on the theory that its maximum effectiveness will coincide with peak Covid in winter. Others suggest there is no seasonal variation with Covid.

My latest Walmart order is shipping via "lasership." That must be a Walmart thing. Yet another shipper to screw things up.

My Kroger order was to be delivered between 7 and 8 this morning. I got a text saying it would be 1-1/2 to 2 hours later. Then it showed up at 7:26.

Replacing the door handle hardware to the garage. Damn internal mechanism broke thru wear and tear. Thankfully I had a phillips head in the house and not in the garage with the rest of the tools.

Got my vaccinations and hair cut...waiting for the side effects to begin...from the vax, not the haircut.

I managed to buy a kalimba (treble-sized) on eBay less than a week ago. It actually came yesterday. Here’s how it came:

Since getting it, I tuned it to a D Major scale (technically a C# Locrian, but still), and am currently repainting the times according to the traditional Hugh Tracey system:

I chose the D Major scale (technically B minor or E Dorian, but still) because of this song:
