The last hour and a half was kind of chaotic. First off, I got a virus scare and an OS update nag at the same time. And once the update nag is ready, this means it slows everything down until we shut the computer down for the update. This meant that it took 35 minutes and 11 seconds for MalwareBytes to scan the system and make sure that the virus scare didn’t do any real damage.
But, wait, there’s more. So, the virus scare (from what I can understand) happened because an ad on Microsoft Solitaire Challenge redirected me to this scareware site. So, I decided that I didn’t want to have anything similar to happen again. The only thing I could do to stop it was just pay for a premium version. And then, it turns out that my debit card isn’t good enough for Microsoft. So I have to ask Dad for his card. This time, it actually worked. Fortunately, the update seems to have worked properly, my laptop is still apparently virus-free, and I now use the Premium version of Microsoft Solitaire Collection with no ads. Also, on a lighter note, the sandwich press that I like to use ended up breaking night before last because I think I applied too much force at an inopportune time. So, we ordered a replacement and it came while I was worrying about the laptop. Here's the grill: Here's what a grilled cheese made in it looks like: Alas, by the time I thought to take a photo, I ate most of the one I made for myself. So, this is one I made for Dad (simpler than the one I usually make for myself). And, notably, it has a lot higher capacity and, unlike the old one, isn't encrusted in cheese. And, with the removable plates, they're much easier to clean.

I don't work there anymore. Spent a fortune getting to work, because of flooding on the way that required an alternate route, and then I learned once at the facility that I was not on the schedule. Had someone contact a supervisor, who said I did not have to be informed that I was fired because their policy stated if I could not show up during harsh weather that it was an automatic firing. Their pettiness is going to pay for my unemployment.

Staying awake in order to sleep tonight.
I want to go back to working the 3-11 shift at the next facility where I get hired.

Been awake for more than twenty-four hours. Felt tired earlier, but stuck it through. Periodic coffee consumption helped. Will go to bed soon, hopefully within the next couple hours.

Slept a whole five hours. Couldn't get back to sleep.
