The temperature in my apartment has gone from 71 F to 79 F since deciding to buy a heater. It hasn't been opened, so I'll just return it.

Meanwhile, I'm retreating to the bedroom to watch the second football game.

Brewing a pot of Lund's Colombia single-source coffee. The Lund's coffee is much more coarsely ground than the coffee from Starbucks. Without a decent grinder, it's hard to determine what consequence that has. The adjustment on my current grinder is difficult to change and yields inconsistent results. The Bratatza Encore would be capable of both grind finenesses, but it's not clear whether the same can be said about the two less expensive grinders that I've considered.

I forgot to take my drugs last night. It's having an adverse effect upon me today.

Unboxing my new ice maker. Any refrigerant system that uses a compressor should sit upright for at least a few hours after being tilted on its side or inverted before being used, as the compressor has a lubricating oil inside it which normally pools at the bottom of the compressor which then uses it to lubricate its moving parts. Tilting or inverting the compressor causes the oil to run up the sides of the compressor, leaving a definite lack of oil at the bottom of the compressor. Needless to say, that is not good for its moving parts. In unboxing my new ice maker, there was no way to get it out of the box without inverting it for a minute, so I'll have to wait before starting to use it. Likely tomorrow, to be on the safe side.

It only took all day, but it went down to 100.7.

I went to try out the new ice maker this morning and discovered that it's the same exact design as the one that I returned, just with a different housing and brand name attached. Upon starting it, it made the same annoying noise as well. But I've let it run a while and most of the noise subsided in the first ten minutes. I think it's just breaking in. I'll let it run all morning and then evaluate. This one was $30 more than the other, but nothing that I can do about that now.
