A few weeks ago, YouTube started acting weird, but only on my laptop. If I had gone partway into a video and wanted to pick up where I left off, it would always restart the video from the beginning. It also wouldn’t change speeds. Just today, I figured out that the issue was pretty simple: YouTube gets pissy whenever you try to use an adblocker on their site. So I switched it off, and also found another blocker that gets past YouTube’s radar.

Microsoft's XBOX storefront on the web is hosed. Trying to display games results in a page not found message, and it's impossible to add things to your shopping cart.

Sigh. There's three days left on the sale on the item that I want to buy, but suddenly I feel like buying anything from Microsoft is a big gamble. They're doing everything they can to concede to Sony.

My hearing isn't the greatest  and I have a small Bluetooth speaker that feeds from the TV and sits on the end table next to me.  It keeps me from having the TV turned up to 11.  I have great headphones that I used wired to my laptop to watch things on it but after a while my ears get uncomfortable so I really like the little speaker for most things.
