I'm surprised that with the price of computer parts increasing, the price of XBOX and Playstation game consoles has stayed steady. I could probably afford a diskless PS5 and I have a free HDMI port. That may be something I do further down the road. Or sooner, if they announce price increases. My new gaming computer will handle most of what a PS5 would handle, but there are some benefits to a PS5, mostly in playing PS4 and PS3 titles that aren't available on PC and are a bear to emulate.

A little cool this morning. I was thinking of going to Walmart, but maybe I'll wait. I don't really have any money, I'm just bored after being cooped up sick.

Opening the box of Tim Horton dark roast K-cups I ordered. I wasn't initially impressed with the last box, but I think it's the perfect middle ground. Complex enough not to be boring, but not expensive, either.

Looking at graphics cards. I made a slight misjudgment with my motherboard and the second PCIE x16 slot ended up too close to my graphics card. In hindsight, there was a board for $50 more where that wouldn't have happened. Maybe depending upon how things turn out I may fix that after things are paid off. Or maybe not. The only serious use for that slot would be for a second GPU to power some graphics upscaling. From a Youtube video I watched yesterday, that would require a second card at a minimum of $200, at which point just upgrading to a 5070 ti probably makes more sense. At this point, I don't even know if there would be any tangible benefit over what I have already bought. The RTX 5070 will likely do everything that I need. And if not, there's always next year.
