I always thought the thing about products failing as soon as the warranty expires was just pointless bitching by a few malcontents.

I purchased a new heating pad for my back pain not long ago. It came with a 30 day refund-or-replace guarantee. It died this morning. Day 31.

Ordering additional rechargeable batteries for my XBOX controllers. I've so far managed the sales largely unscathed. I did order a pair of hot red Crocs. I'm having second thoughts about those.

I went to Walmart to get tea bags and either catfish fillets or 80/20 burger patties. They didn't have either. And I was going to look at bath towels but I forgot.

Tried to do the heat transfer for the patches I ordered a while back. First attempt has gone horribly, due in no small part to Dad insisting on using a heating iron that isn’t capable applying the constant pressure that’s needed to pull it off. After several minutes of heating, it’s stuck on in the worst way: it’s damn near impossible to get the transfer paper off, and when you try, some of the ink is still stuck to the paper.



In addition, I got one more pedal: a TC Electronic Mimiq, basically an ADT pedal. It’s a bit more subtle than I expected, but I think I can get it just right.

Laid down the last coat of finish on a shelf I'll be putting in the carving area. Should have done it when I made and installed the table, but the space is evolving. Once the varnish dries enough not to stink the place up, I'll bring it inside. It's almost eight feet long, so difficult to get a decent pic. I'll take one once it is in place, but the pic will still probably suck.

Having a cup of tea. This is Walmart's generic black tea bag. It's oddly smaller than a standard-sized tea bag. It tastes okay. I picked up some other teas. I haven't had a taste for coffee lately.

Sitting in a field watching a temperature inversion play out. Front acreage is crystal clear, pale blue skies. Back field is fog soup- can’t see the the fro t of the hood from the cab. 29f at the front- 33f just 100feet into the back.
