Trying to find a chickpea chili recipe I can crockpot, and doesn't involve olives or squash.

I've only done chili once before, so I'm a bit scared to do some element of it wrong (so as to make it inedible. I almost forgot to soak the pinto beans last time. Not sure if canned chickpeas need soaked).

No, you don't need to soak canned chickpeas.
I might add them like in the last hour or so of cooking if you want them to retain some firmness. I use black beans in my chili, just love them better thsn kidney beans.
