Undecided

I never addressed Deist Paladin, my original post on this thread was before his, go spew you crap somewhere else.

Smile GC

And you still haven't addressed them.

Here are the quotes from the Bible again:

Ez 26:14 ...thou shalt be built no more...
Ez 26:19 ... the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee...
Ez 26:20-21 ... thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord GOD.

So, the original question remains, Why is Tyre Still Here When God Said it Would Sink Under the Waves?

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

That's only because they didn't have faith in Jesus. If they did, they'd have known that Tyre didn't exist and so the PLO must have based their operations elsewhere and any intel to the contrary must be wrong.
And before you say, "but that was the OT", remember, they fell out of favor with the Lord sometime around when the Gospel of John was penned and "the Jews" became a separate, hostile faction.

They Bible says it doesn't. So therefore you must be mistaken.

P.S. I might also add that the sky is a dome and the earth is flat. I know this because the Bible says so.

The whole chapter of Ezekiel 26 talks about the destruction of Tyre. If God is inerrant, why does Tyre exist today?

That's what I keep telling you. It doesn't exist. The Bible says it doesn't exist and that's good enough for me.

Any claims of Tyre's existence, like the claims of evil-ution, must be lies straight from the pit of Hell.

Let's not forget that Isaiah 23:17 says that after 70 years Tyre will

Quote:17 At the end of seventy years, the Lord will deal with Tyre. She will return to her lucrative prostitution and will ply her trade with all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. 18 Yet her profit and her earnings will be set apart for the Lord; they will not be stored up or hoarded. Her profits will go to those who live before the Lord, for abundant food and fine clothes.

So "god" can't apparently even keep his story straight from one fucking prophet to another. God kind of comes across as a substitute teacher who gives a particularly ludicrous writing assignment because the real teacher didn't leave a lesson plan for the day.

"OK, kids. Pretend your god and you want to fuck over Tyre. Let's see what you can come up with before the bell for next period."

Lies from the pit of Hell? Its a geographical fact that the city exists:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyre,_Lebanon
And if you look up Tyre in the map in your Bible and compare it to the location of said city on a map, it's the same location

So... Since a certain someone declined to answer, how about someone tell the class who destroyed Tyre and when.

Lies! Lies! Lies!

Do you think for a moment that I would be persuaded by your geography any more than Ken Ham is persuaded by your biology?

Tyre doesn't exist anymore. The Bible says it! I believe it! That settles it!
