I've heard people say this before, but I don't think that smartphones are really much of a luxury item in 2013. You get one a year after it's new and it costs next to nothing if you're getting one of those new contract incentives.

People over a certain age or under certain income levels are exempt from the tax penalty. Pretty much, anybody who really can't afford it.

I pissed myself when I read this. A Repbulicunt couldn't have said it better.
You seem to be ignorant of the pre-existing condition portion of Obama Care...the insurance company can't deny coverage, but there is no cap on what they can charge....what changed?
Here's what changed...
We're now going to defund MediCare so that poor people that can't afford insurance have to pay money to the IRS as a penalty. The added bonus is that they still don't get medical coverage.
So what exactly does Obama Care do?????

The suspicious ones are the food stamp card using fucks dressed to the nines on a Tuesday morning. Worse, their toddlers will be half naked, snot rolling on their cheeks unattended. But those lobster tails in the cart take priority, dammit. Lucky them that their Escalade, Beemer 7 series, etc. has ample air conditioning as it sits idling in the fire zone.
Yeah, there are dickhole abuses. Blanket cuts, though, won't stop them...only punish the truly needy.

Oh, don't get me wrong. The Affordable Care Act is very far from perfect. It should be National Health Insurance and paid for by tax dollars.
As for your assertion about insurance premiums are uncapped: This says you are wrong.

Replace 'Cantor' with 'Pelosi' and think again. More than you think, name recognition is more important than issues. The House is in constant campaign mode.

It's interesting how you quote that line/paragraph from that article ( http://apnews.excite.com/article/2013091...NHIG3.html) rather than this one:
Quote: The bill's savings would be achieved by allowing states to put broad new work requirements in place for many food stamp recipients and to test applicants for drugs. The bill also would end government waivers that have allowed able-bodied adults without dependents to receive food stamps indefinitely.
Or this one:
Quote: Food stamps' cost has more than doubled in the last five years as the economy struggled through the Great Recession.
Just saying. So they're proposing to cut 5% of what has doubled mostly under Obama, and the 5% is achieved by not giving food stamps indefinitely to healthy individual adults, stricter work requirements should the states choose to do so and (obnoxious yes) drug testing . It doubles, they cut it by 5%, so it's still nearly doubled. Ooooh save us from the drastic austerity. Stop acting.
Nemo me impune lacessit.

Work requirements should be tied the availability of jobs which actually pay a living wage.

Here's Obama Care in a snapshot....
Thou shalt get insurance! If you don't, then the IRS will rape you for about 2500 a year. Who benifits? That's easy, insurance companies. The poor bastards that cant afford insurance still have to pay the penalty. The beautiful part of Obama Care is that you have to pay without receiveing any actual medical care.
Can we get a link about that 2500?
That is not what I have read.
I don't want this and will not be forced into anything but I also like proof with facts.
