I went to Rep your appeal to becoming a Rep whore but alas, I repped you already Would you still mind if I jumped in that hula hoop with you though?
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Useful AND fun replies. Now THAT's a good forum (whore enough for ya?).
Is there a thread somewhere on Rayaan's story? Searching him has not been useful. Once my curiosity gets going, it's hard to contain. OK- I'm going to test this stuff out. I was going to ask about how to find out about kudos until I saw a big "my kudos" link at the top of the page, and figured that might be useful. Thanks, all, for dragging me closer to internet civilization and civility. (September 20, 2013 at 7:55 pm)Zazzy Wrote: Is there a thread somewhere on Rayaan's story? Searching him has not been useful. Once my curiosity gets going, it's hard to contain. His story is more than any of us can handle, so he had to take it down. He replaced it with a post that read "I liek puppies." Sometimes you have no choice but to condescend. And we love him for it.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I assume you're talking about the story about me becoming a staff here since you asked that earlier. So, here are two threads that illuminate that story: Introducing Rayaan: Moderator Rayaan => Admin
Yay Rebecca! We got this

I've been reading through the threads Rayaan provided, but I'm still not sure why any theist would want to spend so much time here unless it's to argue, which Rayaan doesn't seem inclined to. LOL sorry new girl Yay! Add her to the list of non sausages! lol
All I know is I likes Ryaan. And that these forums are the best I've found in terms of moderation that retains argumentative order. Whenever I do get some money, I'ma donate for sure
