Pineapple nailed it, it sounds. But I hafta emphatically state...you gotta want it. Any waffling and you're toast. Just make sure your sure and make it a reality.

Oh I was carefully considering that, thanks for removing it for me.

Being a professor? Maybe. Owning my own lab? I couldn't even imagine what that would be like, honestly.

My problem is not knowing what I want.

"What do you want from the store?" I don't know, I never know.

I dislike that trait in my self.

What are your skills and talents?

You can be excellent in a career that will make good use of your natural abilities. When you force a career upon yourself while you don't have the natural talent for it, you have a good chance of being good.

Plan B: globe trot, and procrastinate, procrastinate, procrastinate. It's not as bad as it sounds.

I am very good with computers (but who isn't now adays, it's not 1995 anymore), I type 110 words per minute easily.

I love helping people, being genuine, I don't do sales because I don't like forcing my honesty or politeness, I like to just be myself... not lie to people.

I'm good at public speaking, I don't get stage freight. I've been on live television before and it came naturally.

I can be very influential and convince people, so I'm pretty good at debating and getting my way and twisting things... if I were a psychopath I would be a billionaire lol

I'm good at writing, I think anyways, I used to write essays in class the day they were due and ace it while everyone else spent a week or more writing theirs... I never do "rough drafts" or revisions, I just type, once that sentence is done I don't go back to it, it's accurate, it's good where it is.

I wish I were good at maths but I had a tough time as a teenager and didn't apply my self in high school, so whatever intellect and logic (if any) that I have is from some spark of enlightenment after that time, because I was an average GPA stoner during high school.

I'm not sure what else... I failed algebra and chemistry in high school... so as much as I'd love to go into a science field, I'm a bit intimidated by the idea...

I know that I loved biology in high school, I didn't fail it but I didn't excel at it either.

I love philosophy, I'm good at thinking and coming up with interesting ideas...

I liked studying religion, I was religious at one point, but I'm an atheist now who still enjoys learning about the different beliefs of people, even if they aren't true, from a historical and philosophical perspective they fascinate me.

I would like to accumulate a lot of wealth to be able to distribute it to society via creating jobs (building a business), and starting charities... I'd love to be a rich philanthropist...

I like trading the Forex, foreign exchange, so I'm interested in stocks, but the thing is, about going with a business or financial degree, it feels so soulless for lack of a better term... I'm not the type of person who would enjoy my life if all I did was chase money... I don't want to sit and trade numbers all day unless it would make me very wealthy (I need capital for that) and then with that wealth I could put it to good use...

That is what I've been doing for the past 5 years... too much procrastinating... That is why I'm so adamant about finding a focus and sticking with it. I need a good direction and focus, my brain runs wild, maybe I have a malfunction of sorts.

My main concern really is being able to get a job I will enjoy with the degree.

I've read too many horror stories of people getting a degree they love and not being able to find any job they want...

Have you ever considered that maybe college isn't right for you right now if you don't know what you want to do? Maybe you should take a break from it and get some more life experience for a year or so and think about it before you spend a lot of money and time getting a degree you're not sure if you want or will use. It's a shame that young people feel so pressured to start college immediately and make such big decisions before they've even been out in the world.

My experience is that many, many people entering college are doing it because they're smart, they're supposed to do it, and they don't know what else to do. They pick something because they're good at it, or because it's easy, and then they regret it later.

Just a thought.

Yeah but I'm 25, I did college for a year when I was 18 and then got my life experience and still don't know what I want.

I know that I want more money than I've been able to get without college.
