than a consciousness within an
organism. We made it up.
Where was your "soul" before
you were born? The same place
'it' will go when you die...
Into non-existence.

I find "soul" problematic at best. Consciousness, personality, formed sense of self which individuals use in an attempt to understand the constant bombardment of information they receive from their senses... Yeah, all of those are better, far more accurate terms and ideas.

Soul can mean a lot of things, but it doesn't make it real. Never happened. There is no spirit or soul.
I stopped using it in my writing. That's why my writing is so crude and non-romantic. I don't like the word. I almost want to stop referring to the heart as the feeling generator, too. Sigh.

Just another silly word to roll my eyes at, is all. I think rapture is the most silly, unless Debbie Harry is singing it.
