The problem for me with mac is that its pure 100% proprietary. Your computer depends on Apple for everything!

The number of non-Apple applications I have installed vastly outnumbers the number of Apple ones. Most are free, most are open source. Most Linux programs can run on a Mac through MacPorts, and so can most Windows programs through wine.

Oh man, the wheel's a joke? LOL. I thought it was a dumb idea too. And I hate typing on my ipod also. It's not fingernail friendly.

I'll just call this the Apple Thread...
It was recently announced that 2 other providers are going to be picking up the iPhone in November up here in Canada.
That's great news for me, for a few reasons:
- I've been wanting one since the initial announcement
- It's been exclusive to Rogers, who is more costly than Telus
- I'm locked into a contract with Telus and it's not worth the ETF
- Last week I dropped my Motorola KRZR and shattered the front screen completely. The camera doesn't work anymore
They will have the new models (3GS, I believe?) so I'll pick up the one with the most storage capacity. WOO

This is a fucking joke right? How fucking SLOW IS that thing?!?!?!?! !! ?!
If keyboards become a thing of the past...that's my life pretty much sabotaged right there :S lol wtf LMFAO
It's better for a bunch of noobs who can't press keys maybe! But jesus tity-fucking christ on a great motherfucking motorbike, that thing is so fucking ridiculous if I've ever seen anything ridiculous in my life! CLICKING....to...SELECT SHIT...VS: PRESSING FUCKING KEYS.....OMFG.....
KEYS FTW
Fuck that slow ass noob crap. You get computer games coming out these days that are marketed to noobs who can't play for shit, and now KEYBOARDS aren't even good enough apparently!!
KEYBOARDS FOREVER xxxxx
P.S: What's next? Are people going to be forced to type in texting speak?! Ugh.. LMAO ROFL
EDIT: Wow, I at least half believed a piss-take. LMFAO - Well, I found it quite believable considering all the marketing to PC noobs these days!! And what Apple seems to be like in that regard!
Thank fuck for that. My life lives on LOL

Don't be so fast to put it down. Sure its a stupid idea if it replaces the keyboard and mouse entirely but it might be slightly useful if it were placed to the side of the touch pad. I think the people who made this joke might be on to something.

The MacBook Pro touchpad is pretty much the same thing. It does all the amazing multi-finger functions, scrolling, zooming, rotating, changing programs, showing desktop, etc etc.
My pimped out xorg.conf synaptics touchpad on my Linux machine is no match for the Apple one.

I would only be against if it replaced keyboard and mouse, duh.
The keyboard noobs who can't even type can have their fun for all I fucking cared if something like this came out, so long as it doesn't become a replacement.
Texing VS typing basically LMFAO....
I am an uber slow texter...because my phone won't go fast enough so I consistently mess up, TEXTING HAS A SPEED LIMIT LMFAO...
Furthermore I've only sent about 30 texts in my lifetime (Cos I'm too busy typing on my computer)...not that much practice exactly LOL....which is not what you can say for my typing lol.

Basically you more easily get RSI and yet it's - at least potentially - slower and thereby, less efficient?
