my comic idea about atheism v. fundamentalist christianity
I like to make comics, and this is probably my favorite idea right now. I'd like some feedback on it.
So its about the antichrist who is an atheist who goes to heaven, and chooses to go to hell where he turns it into his own personal heaven.
That all happens at the end though. The majority of the story is him slowly turning into the antichrist. I'd type more of what the smaller details are, but I'm on my phone right now.

I really just want to see if people would be interested in this little story of mine. I'll probably type it all out later.

The most engaging stories are the ones where the main character goes through experiences that change him. But the devil is in the details, so to speak. Does he start as the antichrist? Is it because he is an atheist? Why or how does he go to heaven?

I have a similar set of ideas for a comic book series, though I am much more subtle about it. I like the idea of religious factions acting as de-facto mob families, using some bastardization of "honor" to rationalize all kinds of terrible behavior. You don't really need to stray too far from real life to create a convincing background that way.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Mine is a post apoctalyptic world. So there is very little knowledge of religion. There are seven canidates to become the antichrist, none know this, but whoever lives longest becomes the antichrist. They all meet and each death effects the others in an emotional way.
He goes to heaven because Satan is able to awaken him during his judgement at death. That and he wasnt actually evil at all. He would've gone to hell simply because he didnt really know what religion was. The small information he did know he decided it wasnt helpful for anyone.
After he awakens judgement he battles Gabriel, and just as Gabriel is about to destroy his soul, god calls both to talk to him.
Which was what I really wanted the comic to be about.

You should give it a twist. Like make the antichrist the hero.
