I have a better question, Xbox 360 or PS3?

RE: I have a better question, Xbox 360 or PS3?
I'm the kind of person willing to wait several years to play a game, to make sure all of the kinks are worked out Smile

Where'd you come up with the idea that PS2's are only a tenth of the price? As far as I'm aware, they sell for at least 100 USD... and the PS3 either recently got, or will soon get yet another price cut. Give it a few years, and the PS3 will be 100 USD, and there will be no more PS2 sales. The PS2 is one of the cheapest systems you can buy at a store right now Smile I think that they cost less than the crappily built Wii, but I haven't checked recently, so idk.

Well, if I tried I could probably get one for 20$ now that the PS3 came out, I don't really want one though, I'm not much of a gamer, but I know alot of idiots who sell things for cheap, got a new PSP for $50 from them.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

New, PS2 here is £35 Sae. I got one for £40 with Buzzers and a game. PS3 is £300. Wii is £125, XBOX from £90 with no drive.

Even a software emulation should be doable for them. They do indeed lose a significant library of games that way.
Because the PS3 architecture is so drastically different from that of the PS2, they run into problems.

It comes down to:
  • Hardware emulation
    • More reliable
    • More expensive
  • Software emulation
    • Cheaper
    • Horribly glitchy

Some of the emulation glitches were game-breaking. Things like a complete lack of sound output, or missing colors.

I haven't followed the money market in a while... but isn't 1 british pound a little more valuable than 2 USD? Thinking

Wow... the market on that must have fallen quite a bit Shock Damn you Britons: getting cheap stuff all the time! Shock

If the PS2 was that cheap here... I can easily see how it would have more sales than the PS3 Smile

How are we getting cheap stuff? America is far cheaper. It used to be $2 to the pound, now it's much less.

Well, assuming that the PS2 can be purchased for £35... then in USD that wouldn't be even 70 USD. However, the cost should be 99.99 USD if I were to buy it within america. Therefore your version of it is cheaper (if fr0d0 isn't pulling my legs, which I think he might be) Smile
