And you still don't understand the burden of proof. Atheists not being able to prove god exists, isn't relevant to anything.

So theists have to prove God with science (which you can't do) and atheists don't have to prove philosophical reductionist materialism with science (you can't do this either) because what you believe is automatically true and therefore doesn't need to be proved because you say it is? That's a great tactic.

Read this very slowly. I'll try to use small words.

Atheism is not "philosophical reductionist materialism."

Atheism is simply the lack of belief in a god.

To answer your earlier question of why that third of NDEs matters, it matters because you claimed those experiences are evidence of what happens at death. If a third aren't associated with death, this adequately refutes your claim that they are evidence of what happens "at death." As Bad Wolf has repeatedly noted, you seem to want to blame us and make us responsible for refuting what comes out of your mouth. We aren't. You are responsible for providing convincing demonstration that what you say is true. However, the only consistent thing out of you is the repeated assertion that you have no way to do this, because the existence of God is unfalsifiable. You can't show something is right if there's no way to show that it is wrong; because regardless of what the facts are, it will always be considered true. That makes your claim that it's true as essentially based on cardboard cutout evidence; no matter the evidence, you assert the conclusion should always be the same. That shows that your evidence and argument don't matter one whit toward what you believe. You believe it solely because you want to believe it. There is no actual "reason" for your belief, just wishing.

I will use very large words here so the point may sink into you.

MATERIALISM IS WHAT YOU ARE WITH LEFT WITH IF GOD OR ANY FORM OF NON-PHYSICAL TRANSCENDENT ULTIMATE REALITY OF ANY FORM DOES NOT EXIST OR IF YOU DENY THE CLAIM THAT THERE IS ANY GOOD REASON TO BELIEVE IN GOD OR EQUIVALENT NON-PHYSICAL ULTIMATE REALITY WHICH IS THE BASIS FOR ALL THAT EXISTS.

So yes damn right atheism is philosophical reductionist materialism if you do not affirm the belief in the alternative or call it a fairy tale or whatever. This is a belief you have, a religious belief the equivalent of a faith, and you have no evidences or good reason to believe in it's truth just pure blasphemy and madness.

You shouldn't believe in this stuff, it's opinions lies and deception dressed as clever arguments for the gullible.

Death is one way to fully experience God but the idea is that there are other ways to accomplish an experience of God you're still alive. Some people including say Saint Paul when he had his blinding vision can have a more full experience of God than most. It does depend on whether you believe in God to begin with, and you damn well ought to.

No no no you are doing that if you have no evidence, facts or reasons to justify what you believe. I've seen absolutely no good arguments to support reductionist materialism and I have seen to and destroyed it as a valid rational belief before your very eyes.
Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.

Sorry - that is AN opinion - not a direct definition of the word materialism - nor does it have anything to do with atheism

THe fact is - there is NO one who has EVER provided any proof that a god exists - NO ONE INCLUDING YOU

ANd since that IS THE CASE - the reality that we are left with is that EVERYONE - INCLUDING YOU have only reality to deal with - not your IMAGINATION of a god.

NOW - if YOU have absolute proof of the existence of a god - and CAN also prove that it is YOUR god - and that you speak for the intent of that god - by all means Provide the proof - otherwise - YOU are simply making up FAIRY TALES

Taoists aren't materialists, nor do they necessarily believe in any gods. Many Buddhists likewise. There are Taoist and Buddhist atheists. So, no, you don't have to be a materialist to be an atheist. Nonsense refuted. And I didn't have to shout to do it.

Atheists are Taoists now? No they would reject the Tao as much as they would reject God. And in any case there are different names and concepts regarding the nature of the non-physical or supernatural agent behind existence. I'm putting everything that atheists reject into one pot and leaving you with the belief you're left with which is materialism. All you have to do is demonstrate that materialism is bullshite belief based on no evidence or reason at all and provide the logical inconsistencies of it. The validity of your belief will at this point be destroyed.

Unless you want to come clean and just claim it to be a faith because that's what you like the idea of.

What does the Tao have to do with atheism? Atheists don't believe in the Tao they don't believe in anything other than just what they see. Tao, God, Brahma or whatever are the exact same damn thing. Yes the specifics are different but I'd argue God is the most rationally consistent. You have the natural physical order brought into existence by an eternal purposeful God who is relational to his creatures. If you deny all of this and call it a fairy tale or whatever then you are a materialist. Materialism is a belief. You can't fall back on agnosticism either as that is a claim of knowledge not a claim of belief, in this sense everyone is an agnostic.
