the atheist mantra is science. the guy starts this thread - abio........impossible, i assumed that was a science challenge. guess i was wrong in thinking that you guys would be chomping at the bit to straighten out the misguided God believers. you didn't understand that it was challenge?

All I get is that you had intended that atheists here would work harder to show with science that abiogenesis is necessary. Doesn't it suck when people don't do your bidding?

I want details from you, not some vague hand waving or a mumbled "god can coz you know magic".
I want supporting peer reviewed papers that agree with the hypothosis.
I want to see the results of experiments that support it.
I want evidence that supports the process along with examples and pictures.

I've always wanted to see an attempt by a theist to try and explain a likely mechanism by which god created everything. It's usually incredibly vague dribble, or biblical quotes. One thing that always interested me is that god is usually described as infinitely powerful, such that if he wanted to, he could obviously smash the entire universe in to pieces with the click of a finger. Of course, in order to move all the energy/matter in the universe, he must be able to summon at least an equal amount of energy/matter in order to counter the existing energy/matter. This must surely be stored somewhere, perhaps in a special god cache, or a celestial basement (perhaps along with god's favourite freeze dried coffee). It would be interesting to know where god keeps his spare energy, just in case he fancies plugging the occasional supermassive black hole. In fact, if we could even take a peek at god's house it would be a start.

Not only that, but what exactly must be met to show that it's not "impossible" ? If non living matter can be shown, under the right conditions, to form into amino acids, the building blocks of life, then it is certainly possible. If what you are asking for is a video of a rock morphing into a human, then under those impossible conditions, yeah, it's impossible. But if nonliving stuff can turn into a much more complex basic component from which living stuff is made up of, then don't you think it's certainly possible? At minimum, it's possible.
