I simply and absolutely ADORE this feature--the kudos feature, that is. It would be cool to get random kudos from random people all day long, everywhere in my ''real'' life, too. And randomly throw them out to all those deserving and worthy of random kudos, as well.
That's all I wanted to say--carry on.

I think it's good, too. You get to promote good posts. But then there's also reputation, which seems to serve the same purpose, at least in spirit. Maybe I'm missing something?

You can actually rack up the kudos points to earn mystery prizes, but I'll let you in on a secret: only the ones rating my posts count towards your total.
@c172: the kudos system applies to individual posts and you can give out as many as you like (though see above ), whereas rep points rate members as a whole, one per customer.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

And if your kudos-per-post ratio reaches 3.14, you'll know you've come full circle.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I've just given you all kudos and I'm left wondering...is it better to give than receive?
I'm torn. :p

If I remember correctly, TEGH said that you know you've been on AF for too long when the success of your day is measured in kudos and reps received. And I can't disagree with that
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Lol I resemble that remark.
Honestly what I like about it, is it is "different" that the typical "like." Kudos means "good job" too! Kudos can be a very philosophical topic.

I must admit there are times when I check out the Top Members charts to see where I rate and I do feel a little cheered if I'm anywhere the top.

I do feel like a kudo whore having posted just now, but it was an honest query.
