I saw a bunch of pictures just now from the brush fires. Scary stuff. I hope everyone is ok.

From a fellow fire-endurer in Southern California.

Yeah, I was also concerned. From what I've gathered from the news, the situation is pretty dire.. Undecided
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

From the pictures, "dire" may be an understatement. I'm no stranger to wildfire, but I have never seen anything quite as ominous as that. I hope our friends in NSW are getting to safety.

Does anyone know if there are relief efforts needing donations to help refugees?

I'm a Finn. When things go rapidly south, the appropriate response is 'oho' (roughly translates to oops). So when I say dire, I mean fucking scary and sinister.
