Question for Theists/Atheists

No, so much for your honesty. On two different posts you didn't add - you subtracted. You deleted remarks you made after the fact. And yet like a typical christian, you have the nerve to call ME the liar.

Quote:LOL.....the member who never backs up his BS ramblings before making the next deranged post. It's a constant crazy fest with your posts. You're as bad as Ted Cruz at this point.

Who? Also, if you're going to make the claim that I can't back up any of my posts than you'll need to give a link to all of these supposed posts as evidence. Better yet, it'd probably be a real good idea not to be guilty of your own accusation. Can't do it can you ... not a surprise.

Polaris Wrote:Me boring? Well of course. Don't tell me you just found out....

But I'm not like the Apologists because I don't know much about philosophy, which is quite necessary for Christian Apologists...I though have borrowed a bit from the Greek ones I guess since a section of the Letters borrowed from the Greek philosophical view of the body, mind, and spirit being separate entities, yet that was to actually say that the Christians viewed all three as part of the human body rather than being distinctly separate. So I guess the author of the letters written to the churches would have been the first of those Apologists.

Other than that, I just have read the Bible a few years back and went OK....I don't have to prove a fucking thing to anyone about this so I don't give a shit about expanding further on those views.

Now on archeology, I do care because I can actually go to many of the sites listed in the Assyrian, Babylonian, Egyptian, and Biblical records.

WTF? What in the hell does this have to do with what we were talking about???

That part had to do with Apologetics. You don't know a fucking thing about Apologetics and that was not getting into actual Apologetics.....that's the kiddie stuff and you failed.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

You kinda got this Bipolar thing going on don't you. One minute you're a respectful christian and the next you're deleting part of your posts and dropping the word fuck all over the place.

Anyway to address your ludicrous statement Bipolaris ...

You can't make the claim that I don't know anything about apologetics in the exact same sentence that you claim you weren't even talking about apologetics. Does that make sense to you? You understand the natural logic in that statement? You were even talking about archeology at the end there.

Anyway, get your shit together BiPolaris. You're all over the friggin place.

Mental note* It is now OK to ridicule "mental illnesses", bi-polar in particular. Undecided

Just to answer the OP there is nothing more off-putting that someone opening a conversation with a statement about being a Christian. Sure - if its relevant then introduce it - but at the introduction stage of a first meeting where it doesn't seem particularly likely the subject of faith will come up why do it?

Why is it off-putting? Because I have no idea how to react to it. I don't know whether to say - "Oh, nice," or, "Oh how terrible," or what?

As regards Christian apologetics - unless you have a definition different from mine - I think we have a few on the forum who are at least close to that. I'd imagine we would agree that William Craig Lane is an apologetic.

I'm not mocking mental illness. I don't even know how that would be possible. I'm pointing out that Polaris has a bizarre tendency to act two completely different ways. At most I'm mocking Polaris. If you don't understand comedic ribbing, please Youtube Daniel Tosh.

In regards to the OP, I think only the bigots care what your religious views are. Everyone else judges posts based on their merits.

I don't think the question was with regards to posts - more actual physical meeting someone. Could be wrong.

Certainly on this forum its kinda obvious - he has Christian as his belief.

Ahhh, I think you're right, I see that now.
In person, if you want to announce your beliefs, it's fine but not necessary. Of course, that is unless you have a hidden religious agenda, then you better well announce that shit.
