He's an atheist. You can imagine the reaction of many of these children when they googled the verses and found them only to be word for word from the King James Bible. Devil

Brilliant!

What verses were they? Something really crazy, I hope.

Actually, in The Exorcist Regan and her mom were not really religious, as her mother asked one of the housekeepers why they placed a crucifix in Regan's bed. You know, the same one she was using later in that famous scene where the devil says, "Let Jesus fuck you!"
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

RE: Happy HALLOWEEN
I have seen both. All I know is that I used to wake up screaming because I had terror dreams about possessed dolls or objects that I was unable to pray away with the power of god. I actually believed that when I had those dreams it was the holy spirit warning me when I wasn't strong in my faith.
No, like really. Reread that then imagine it. I'm surprised I'm not mentally damaged and able to look back at it for what it was.. I'm coming to conclude that maybe sometimes people get too immersed in the lie to break free completely. I'm still in denial recovery.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

No. We leave that to you fucking fools.

But Halloween is an excuse for little bastards to ring my doorbell. Fuck 'em.

I like Halloween but have no plans today. I'll pass out candy if anyone knocks, but I didn't have any trick-or-treaters last year so will probably have a quiet evening.

I enjoy the costumes. Three years ago I went to work dressed as a geisha (even had the traditional hard-as-hell-to-walk-in shoes). I won the best costume prize, but it was a hollow victory. I was going for pretty but ended up with something like Gloria Swanson from "Sunset Boulevard."

I like Halloween, too. I love an excuse to dress up and step out of my day-to-day self for a change! Not this year, though -- too busy.

Don't miss the trick-or-treaters much. The little kids are adorable, but I'm not big on passing out candy to 16-year-olds. Go to a party, for fuck's sake.

But I can't complain any longer... haven't had a trick-or-treater in 9 years. I keep a crisp $20 for the first intrepid kid who walks around my gate, traverses the llloooonnnnnggggg dark-as-midnight, heavily wooded gravel driveway over 2 creeks, defies the dogs and the other security measures to trick-or-treat at my door. He or she deserves more than a miserly piece of candy.

I'm thinking of upping it to a $50 this year.

You think that is bad? Try groups of college and university frats that do not even dress up. I think I said "what the fuck" out loud once.

That's bad. Really bad. And you wouldn't dare turn them away for the sake of a few pieces of candy, either. Shameful.
