Epic/Crappy Moments on the Job

When I worked for Seibe as forensic technician I diagnosed a returned automotive thermostat as intentionally tampered. We refused to pay the cost of replacing the man's engine that he claimed was destroyed by the faulty thermostat. While preparing the report and copying the customer's complaint, I noticed that the plaintiff had enclosed his resume, claiming to have enough quality control skills to "clean up our act."
The thermostat had been heated with an acetylene torch with obvious scorch marks. The jerk tried to con us out of money and a job!
