How about photos of her unborn babies genitals? Can she sell those?
Really, if only you could see how desperate you sound right now.

If lion's mother rented out her uterus to the highest bidder, would she have gotten a more respectable offspring instead?

Speaks more to the silly way those laws are written than anything else.

Well, he has a point though, not from the standing point of the women, I'd say. I think the abortion debate is one that revolves around whether someone should be able to receive a certain paid service.
You pay for it, and the doctor kills your baby.
And the doctors receives money for doing so, so for him, there is no higher truth in the abortion debate, no "women's rights" dilemma, only money, and this is the worth of the whole abortion debate in my eyes. Money. The women and the babies that are subject to it are nothing more than resources, as means to a better pay. It dehumanizes women and it dehumanizes the fetuses.

No, he doesn't. And neither do you. Except to show your inherent misogyny. What fucking business is it of yours if someone else has or does not have a child?

Misogyny. You do throw around that word around a lot.
Besides, I've not said anything whether it is my business, I've simply stated its not about having children or not. Its nothing more than being entitled to a service or not.

But it has more to do with keeping the government from telling women what they can or can't do with their own body. That's why it's a privacy issue, and not simply a receiving services for cash issue like you want to trivialize it.
The whole abortion debate would be no different if a bunch of fundamentalist Christians decided that men getting vasectomies is an affront to God* and wrote it into law. It's not their decision what I can or can't do with my body, it's mine.
*Like the Catholic church officially believes, though I personally know many Catholics who have had vasectomies.

*Like the Catholic church officially believes, though I personally know many Catholics who have had vasectomies. Well, its actually telling doctors which operation they can perform or which they can't perform. Since the operation in question is a paid operation, I'd say that my point still stands.
As like, its an individualistic issue, but it seems like it has now a collective character, which is very interesting, I'd say. Why doctors who make a living by performing abortions don't get involved is beyond me.
In a sense, they're taking away their business opportunities, which is the opposite of the free market that the USA supposedly supports. When there is demand, there is service. There is a demand for abortions, and there are people who give out this service. Yet it is amusing that people have turned this into a debate of women's rights, which I think is irrelevant in this issue. In many cases in which abortion is performed for married women, the choice is never made alone.

What does it matter if it's a paid procedure or not? What if doctors were providing abortions for free?
But let's say that it's just an issue of trade, why prohibit such a transaction? Like you said, there is a demand for the service, else we would never, ever be debating abortion. If a woman wants to pay to have a medical procedure done, what's the harm?

If a woman wants to pay to have a medical procedure done, what's the harm? For doctors to provide abortions for free, they'd have to be financed by some external source, which is in most cases, the government. In such a case, abortions would be as legal as the government wants them to, and in some cases, like in China, forced.
Besides, I really see no harm for myself in this. I just think that the debate of morality is done on the wrong subject.
