If you feel indifferent, than you're either not fully committed to your ideology, or you're a hypocrite.
Actually....very perceptive of you. You have nailed the problem with religion.

Good answer. But I've a real problem with the notion of hate being a right. That legitimizes it. Hate may very well be a very human emotion, but it's not one
of our better ones. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth, as it were. My parents, among their other sterling qualities <sarcasm>, hated Blacks, Latins, Irish, Italians,
Jews, Gays. They were most democratic where hate was concerned. Other than that they were strict straight ticket republicans. So yeah, I've got a real problem with
the very notion of hate.

The temples and libraries of the ancient world were destroyed by marauding gangs of xtian thugs, dear. "Hate" came easily to them.
Much as it does to our modern fundies who think their god approves only of them.
As Anne Lamott said: “You can safely assume you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do.”

Now I know how our beloved fundies got so very open-minded.

I actually didn't nail down no problem. You have the same attitude as anyone adhering to any form of religion. Its just because you think yourself above those people that you also claim that you're less hateful then they are.
You too are hateful, just like them. You don't need to feel ashamed or get defensive. Hate is not a crime.
In fact, hate is the only egalitarian force on earth.

And why not? They hated what their God hated. They have done what was right by them due to the love of their own God.
Just as the Romans and Jews persecuted the Christians due to the hate they felt towards them and their teachings.
While accusing one side of hate, you cannot really exclude the other side. Hate is quite often mutual.

No.
There are plenty of hateful non-faithified peeps, and there are plenty nonhateful faithified peeps
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

That's because there is no evidence for any religion. They are all a pile of crap followed by sheep who do what they are told. It's sad, really.

Faith doesn't have to equal hate. I would personally have no problem with Christianity if it was just the parts that could actually be useful to humanity (love your neighbor, treat him as you would wish to be treated, clothe the naked, feed the hungry). Unfortunately, those good sentiments are mostly afterthoughts in all the hate and violence which makes up most of the rest of the religion.

Does it really matter. At the end, you're pro-something and anti-something.
