Two consenting adults, including relatives?

Two consenting adults, including relatives?
We all know homosexuality is a hot topic. Many people agree with homosexual marriage under the idea that adults should be able to do what they want, as long as everything is consentual.

Should we include relatives under that as well. Most people are against brothers and sisters making love because it's inbreeding, but not all marriages are for making babies. Does anyone think it will come to that?

I guess the topic of polygamy could come up too, which many christians are against for some odd reason. Most people who were married in the bible were polygamists, after all.

I have no problems with it, so long as track record does not show a high chances of offsprings resulting from such a union regardless of any stated intentions up front.

Not at all. That convenience and preference lend themselves toward appropriateness is merely a matter of proximity Wink Shades

Interesting question.

I know several people in polyamorous relationships. (one is FFM the other is FMM) and they seem happy and healthy. Personally, I don't have a problem with it. Although, for what it's worth, I think it's technically illegal in CA.

I've seen documentaries about Mormon Polygamist Families and although the participants generally claim it's a good thing... they do seem to have a tendency to get the girls involved WAY too young. (Also, technically illegal.)

I don't think I know any incestuous partnerships, but who knows? The problem of inbreeding is sure to come up...

I do support personal freedom of all sorts as long as nobody is being harmed. It will be interesting to watch if any of these changes in social standards start to evolve...

I've never heard that it's illegal anywhere in the US. Just that the marriage part isn't legal much like how homosexual marriage isn't legal in most places; that still doesn't ban two gay guys from living with each other long term.

I think consenting adults should be able to do whatever the hell they want, as long as they're not hurting anyone else.

RE: Two consenting adults, including relatives?
If two closely related people who grew up together wanted to, I'd say there's a weird family dynamic going on, but I certainly don't see what's wrong with 2 closely related people in a sexual relationship. If one of them was once in a maternal/paternal role, that's deeply disturbing. Otherwise, as long as they understand the risks of procreating, why not? I'm sure it happens all the time.
