I'm always confused when American Christians get sniffy about the constitution.
It's not a religious document you know...

It's been amended a lot, but it's the foundation of our laws. We were once a really great nation, and I'm sure the constitution was a bit reason for that. We still are a pretty good nation in some respects.

Fischer doesn't seem to have any respect for the Founding Fathers at all. They weren't idiots bumbling over what words to use. They said what they meant quite clearly.
Also, if the Founding Fathers didn't fathom Islam or other religions in the US, then why did Jefferson have a copy of the Quran? 
I love how Christian conservatves advocate a strictly literal interpretation of the constitution until it doesn't suit their agenda.
