Listen to this statement from your link:

Its politico-economic stance is strongly anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-militarist, "internationalist but anti-globalization."

Anti-imperialism? Anti-militarist? That sounds wonderful. You like militarism and imperialism? Then I suggest you join the military and risk your life for defense industry lobbyists and oil companies.

"internationalist but anti-globalization." You would have to use doublethink to wrap your mind around that one. No, I'm not "anti-imperialist" or "anti-militarist". All those are code words for anti-Western. I don't like militarism, but I am all for cultural imperialism.

Cultural imperialism is defined as the cultural aspects of imperialism. Imperialism, here, is referring to the creation and maintenance of unequal relationships between civilizations favoring the more powerful civilization.[1] Therefore, it can be defined as the practice of promoting and imposing a culture, usually of politically powerful nations over less potent societies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_imperialism

Honestly...better cultural imperialism than military imperialism. I'd rather see us dominating others with McDonald's and apple pie than with bombs and bullets.

I'd MUCH rather we dominated by just doing our own thing and not getting into it with other countries, and doing really good because of it and inviting others to join us in our success a la immigration to our country, you know, like how we used to be, but...that age has come and gone, so I'd be hoping for a fool's dream... :/

The same year they stopped funding other terrorist groups and joined the war on terror?

What's your point, man?

All lesser cultures must be subjugated so communism can be imposed upon them.

Do you see the logical contradiction in your sentences about militarism? You're acting like the Holy Bible's ancient writers with all their logical contradictions in the sacred text.

My goodness! Going by that last sentence of yours, I can make a few guesses about you:

1) You're all for the Iraq invasion, which murdered their civilians for oil and defense industry profits.

2) You're for all the Native American genocide throughout American history.

3) You're a white segregationist in the deep south, and maybe even a Ku Klux Klan or Aryan Nations member.

4) You watch that crap on Fox Advertising, especially Bill O' Reilly and his insatiable support for the "White, Christian, male power structure".

You really missed the point there.

You want to run the point by me again then?

Mine is that being identified as Jewish is not something I ever chose. I was born into it. For the vast majority of my life it is a non-issue and doesn't come up. The only times it does are either when I visit my family in Manchester, or, when some Ultra right wing fascist appears on the TV or in the papers blaming the Jews for the economic plight of Greece.

That's the point that I remember my history.

RE: Alqaeda is a U.S., Saudi and Israeli backed organization.
My Gosh but there is some utter nonsense being spoken.

There are (at least) 9 different factions in this conflict.

They are
1) The Shias -This is Iran, The Syrian Government and Hezbollah. They hate Salafis. They are trying to extend shiaa influence in Iraq and the Gulf

2) Salafiis- Ultra extreme sunnis. They hate Shias more than anything else. Then they hate Muslims who aren't as extreme as they are, then they hate everyone else in the world. They are trying to take over the Muslim world

3) Religious Sunnis. This is groups like Hamas, Erdogans party in turkey, The Muslim brotherhood. They hate israel more than anything else, then they hate Christians. They are trying to take over the Muslim world

4) Muslim liberals. They hate The shias, Salafis and Religious Sunnis. They pretend to hate Israel but actually they like them and Israel supports them. They want to get rid of dictators and the religious and become more western . They are the current losers in Syria

5) Israel hates Syria because Syria is trying to destroy them and Iran for the same reason. It also hate the Religious sunnis for the same reason. It has very little to do with the Salafis. It is just trying to stay in existence.

6) Western leftists.

Western leftists hate Israel mainly because Israel is an ally of the USA. When Israel was supported by the USSR they backed Israel. Western leftists pretend that Israel is amongst the worlds worst human rights abusers. Any rational inquiry demonstates that it isn't so. Western leftists will support any Anti Western Muslim group -even ones that hate each other. Oddly they donl;t support Socialists'left liberals in Muslim countries who otherwise beleive the same thiongs they do,

7) Christian nutcases. They support israel because of some nonsense in revelation

8) Western rightists. they suppiort israel because it is culturally western. They don;t like Muslims much because they are brown people.

9) Western Nazis

They hate Jews and Muslims but Assad is a fascist so they quite like him.

Israel has the most effective military in the region and no one wants war with them. After Israel Turkey has the most power

6) Saudi/Jordan+ Other gulf states they hate the shias. They are covertly allied with Israel and will back the salafis

AQ is not actually that interested in the US. The 9/11 attacks were meant to get the USA to attack Afghanistan and outrage the Muslim world and then attack Iraq and destablise it. The first was entirely successful. The second was a disaster because it enabled the people they really hate -shias to take over Iraq.

AQ and the US are NOT diametrically opposed. They were on the same side against Ghaddaffi (and then the salafis attacked the US at Benghazi) and the US and AQ are on the same side against Syria BUT I think there are a lot of people who think that the USA/UK are on the wrong side whioch is why they have pulled out of interaction in Syria.

Contrary to shit being doled out by idiots the USA never supported the Taliban OR AQ. They supported Anti Taliban Mujahids.
