Absolutely not, you can obliterate religion with science and reason, these only make more atheists not fewer.
Religion is merely a popular con game on the gullible, it is not needed, free or otherwise. You don't need to legalize imaginary gods to create a good society. You can't blaspheme against reality.
If one could obliterate religion with science and reason, it would have happened by now. How many times have you argued with a religionist, and have science and reason on your side, to no avail? Reasoned arguments only work on reasonable people.

Why this bothers you ? This means you believe in Allah or you have doubts about this issue . Yes you will go to hell if you continue to behave such arrogant .
If you dont believe in Allah , then why this situation is bothering you ?

It does not bother me. It just sounds a bit hypocritical.

It bothers people because we're told of a guy that is loving, merciful, and just, but eternal torment for so much as not believing is none of these things. It bothers us because these beliefs have led to people doing horrible things in order to blackmail the masses.

This is supposing I could snap my fingers and the religion just disappears?
Ugh, I'm really split between Islam and Christianity on this one. On the one hand Islam has done quite a lot of shit to my people and is still going strong in many countries. On the other hand the most powerful nation in the world is utterly delusional. If Christianity goes away would people see Islam as the oppressive and crazy institute that it is? Or would we still be too busy being politically correct?
I'm going to vote Islam. Because then a lot of the girls I know won't have to go through arranged marriage. Christianity is on it's way out anyway, more cultural xtians than anything else these days.

I would think the hypocrite here is the one out of her burka who cannot keep her nose outta men's business.
I didn't vote 'cause the question is dumb. Most people are too shallow and scared to operate without the emotional crutch of religion. And besides, whadda mean by "obliterate?" Christian comes up to me, offering an AK or something, this would be the last dumb question said Christian would ask.

Freedom of religion. Though I think they should have focused on separation of church and state a lot more, since it got quite ingrained in the government for a while. Still pretty stuck in there.
Honestly people should be able to believe what they want. Just don't push your beliefs on others. If someone doesn't want to believe in supernatural stuff, and you can't provide more evidence than a book full of claims and faith, then don't persecute them when they still don't believe.
But of course christians and muslims won't stop at that because of the idea of hell. They're trying to save people, or at least keep others from "leading them to hell".
