They did conduct big underground explosions that were easily detected by seismic stations around the world, and gases that do not occur in nature, and has no known source of artificial manufacture othetr than ndetonation of uclear bombs, was subsequently detected in the air right around the time theoretical studies show such gas would filter through rocks into the air after the said underground explosion.

Unless North Korea has technology far in advanced of both ours as well as what would take to just detonate a nuclear weapon, they could not have fabricated this evidence.

Yes, it's true that N. Korea lacks the missile capability to strike the U.S. However, hitting S. Korea or another neighbor is within their missile range, so I think the point stands that N. Korea's nuclear arsenal would give us serious pause before conducting any sort of military strike -- even in the hypothetical case of their having vast oil reserves.

Wait, Sadam supposedly had "weapons of mass destruction" but it didn't stop the yanks going in then. As far as I can see the North Koreans have about as much evidence for their apparent nuclear capabilities as what Sadam did. Unless anyone can point me to a source that explicitly proves North Korea has nukes.

I'm not one that is for propaganda, as I have no stakes in the existence or non-existence of North Korea, since communism is pretty much dead, but North Korea is nothing but a Snake eating itself these days. They are not a shining beacon of "resistance" against American imperialism, they never were, to be honest. I cannot say that I'd be happy to see North Korea crumble, but I certainly wouldn't be sad to see the demise of the last bastion of the red menace.
