The Final Fantasy Series

RE: The Final Fantasy Series
Got back into IV just recently, I still preferred Cecil as a Dark Knight but I still enjoy playing the game.

RE: The Final Fantasy Series
I can't believe there are two Final Fantasy threads and they're both on the front page of the gaming section.

Anyway, the answer I gave there remains here: I've played and beaten all of the main series of games except 11 and 14 (not shelling out a subscription fee for them) and even a few of them that deviated from the main series (Tactics, Tactics Advance, X-2 and Mystic Quest). I even played several of them long before they were released in the US via emulator. I want to work on 13-2 now, just so I can try Lightning Returns and not feel like I'm lost about how the story got to where it is. I've also heard that Bravely Default is good, but some of the sexual innuendo involving children sounds more than just a little creepy. Still, I'm probably going to get the game and try it out since I need something to do while I spend 2hrs each day on the bus.

I'm actually playing through it again on my phone as it was just released on mobile devices. yay. I wish that hot piece of ass Locke would come and rescue me some day.

I'm also currently playing thru it again via the GBA emulator on my PSP. On the Veldt right now learning all the rages & acquiring all the spells that I can from the espers.

You should really try wild arms too, but I think it was only on the PS1

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Not sure which one, but one of the Wild Arms has a bad ass intro tune. I don't think I got far into the game. Though. I was always bigger into the snes jrpg genre, although ps1 did have some decent ones too.

Tactics set the bar for tactics games, and had me spending months on it when it first came out. I went back and played it again last September, but kinda got burnt during the battle xp farming and forgot to return.

Favorite RPG, next to Jade Cocoon.

Final Fantasy 7 is the greatest. I have yet experienced something as good as 7. I do consider to try FF10. But the beatin' punk music and the exploration, the climatic changes is superb.

X is a good game even if it did begin the linear storyline. Get past Tidus' laugh and you might end up liking it. 6, 4, 9, 12, 10, 7, 8, 1, 5, 3, 2, 13 is my chronological order of favorites from the main numbered games, not including the mmos.

I know they aren't FF by name, but old school Square games like Chrono, Marior RPG and Mana games are definitely worth a try for fans of. Final Fantasy.
