Wasn't the KJV commissioned by King James for some political reason as well? Religion has always been useful in politics.

"almah" can mean young woman or maiden. Maiden is to describe a woman of child barren age that has not yet given birth.

"bethulah" is the word used for virgin, which is a women that never had sex/or is sexually pure.

Yeah, Andrew Schlafly has been working on this for a while. I don't quite know why he hasn't gotten it finished by now; maybe he's having a hard time spinning OT god into not being a horrible, blood-thirsty monster.

But, yes, he seems to be completely serious with this. I mean, look at some of the other stuff he has on the conservapedia. I'm pretty sure there's another part that talks about different animals being spread around the earth after the Noahs' Ark incident by flinging them around with a volcano. And the page on the relativity theory specifically says "Simply put, E=mc² is liberal claptrap." Seriously, they're that crazy.

Remember: Poe's Law works because there are actually people out there who are that nucking futs.

E=mc2 is liberal claptrap, but it makes possible all those nuclear weapons they're so proud of.

To be fair rationalwiki also holds all sorts of irrational views themselves, although nothing like to the extent of Conservapedia.
