David desires a woman named Bathsheba even though she’s married to one of David’s soldiers. SO they pumped uglies!. God then becomes extremely angry with David. Once the new couple has a child, God afflicts it with illness for a week before watching it die (2 Samuel 11), (2 samuel 12:14-25). Yet again, God exterminates an innocent baby for the actions of the father. And also makes men rape bathsheba. PLEASE TELL ME I READ THIS WRONG....NO I DIDNT.... explain it without the nonsense that god can do whatever he wants, hes loving, or that hes just... just an ass!

For some reason Yahweh enjoys punishing people for the actions of others. It boggles the mind. From killing firstborns and cattle for the crimes of others, to telling a follower to kill his child to prove his loyalty, to killing a baby because one of his favorite people decided he deserved any woman he desired. Taken or not. Oh how mysterious this guy is.

This is one of those biblical tales where it ought to be apparent that it's a case of a primitive, superstitious culture attributing bad things happening to someone who does something disagreeable to their cultural mores to divine retribution.
That simple, obvious observation appears lost on fundamentalists, however. Quote:ur comments just made me dumb!! Don't blame the comments, mate. Boru
