Why should my movie experience be tarnished by other idiots munching on popcorn and slurping their sodas?
Not all of us eat like loud cattle. :p
I think getting popcorn at a movie is a must. It completes this experience. Some people just really enjoy it.
They made Netflix for killjoys like you. All it takes is one such person in the whole theater...
And no it doesn't complete the experience... it sucks.
There you are in a room completely designed for your visual and auditory pleasure... and then people pollute it with Crunch, snack, pop, crack, slurrrrrrp... -.-'
Not to mention when those people get up to get refills!
Waste.
Netflix does not exist in this neck of the woods, I think... but I have my ways of mimicking the functionality!

Snacks are a must when watching movies, especially in cinemas XD. I do get annoyed with those that arrive late, or have to go to the washroom or turn on their phone or not turn off their phone, etc. etc. But eating is fine. I don't mind it, the movie is so much louder anyway.
I too smuggle things in my purse, otherwise it's all overpriced.

There's a bulk candy place beneath my theatre of choice. I go pretty hog wild there. Different stuff every time. But my mainstays are Jelly Bellies, spice drops, and various chocolates (micro m&ms, honeycomb, cherries, etc). I love chocolate covered coffee beans, but they are too much of a...ummm....stimulant. And the wheelchair restroom is always taken.
ETA: I agree that it is loud, so I try to be done with however much candy I want before the previews end.

I've never had it, but every time I see someone with it, I'm totally jealous they have it.

According to wiki:
Quote:Netflix, Inc. is an American provider of on-demand Internet streaming media available to North and South America, the Caribbean, United Kingdom, Northern Europe, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, and flat rate DVD-by-mail in the United States, where mailed DVDs are sent via Permit Reply Mail.
I'm in none of those!
Southern Europe, Iberian Peninsula, south-western bit called Portugal, somewhere along the western shore, in a city called Lisboa (or, in English, Lisbon).
I find it curious that old cities in Europe have different names in different languages. I guess it's because each language had time to adapt the original name to itself.
For example:
London (english, duh.... and German and other northern european languages), Londres (French, Spanish, Portuguese), Londra (Italian).
