Christian dad broke us up

Christian dad broke us up
Hey guys,

I've been dating a girl for a year now and she's from a strong Christian family. I recently announced I was an atheist and I guess her family started hating me, her dad (who is the macho Christian) even removed me from his Facebook page (don't ask me why he added me) and also posted an article about "not liking daughters boyfriend"

It's so sad, I have been good to him and very honest.
Religious people are a joke.

I'm 24, she's 22
I know he's behind it because they have been stressing her out about it.

Then she should grow up or admit that she agrees with them.

Sorry to hear that man. I really hope that she didn't mean too much to you.

At your ages, it's her decision. Trust me, you don't want to be with someone who is so Christian, they don't want to be with you over it. I'm sorry dude.

Veg, sorry to hear that, bro.

On the other side of things, it's pretty rare that people with such opposing viewpoints can really be together long term. It's usually a deal breaker.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Thanks guys I appreciate the support, we have a house together (under my name and we shared the bills) and she just moved out, quit her job, and school and left back to live with her family 45 minutes away.

She didn't give me a heads up, so I can get ready.
and now she's all crying saying "she has to stay there for now" Which is basically her way of saying "my parents won't let me live with you anymore"

... I do not understand. She's 4 years over the age-line in a first world country, yes?

Is she a victim of substantial abuse, or mentally challenged?

People change... people grow. Well, usually.

Quit her job AND school, when she's only 45 minutes away from them? WHAT. THE. FLAMING. FROGMONKEY?! AND moved out.

Seems a bit much for an ideological dispute... are you sure that's all it was?
