But I thought this thread was about the preference... the diamond that shines above all other precious gems.

There are so many types of people out there, you're not going to stick to your list when you meet someone you have real chemistry with, you won't even remember your list.
I really only need the guy to see me as an equal. It's the same requirement for everyone I keep in my life, and I return the favour. I like guys who are spontaneous and adventurous, funny, thoughtful, not clingy ... intelligence is not a big deal, but has to be mature. I can't deal with people who doesn't understand the value of money or who doesn't know how to take care of themselves (at my age I still run into a lot of those). But that's just what I tend to go for, not requirements.
