I think your over looking a bigger issue. If this girl was wanting to leave her father and cleave to you, nothing he could say or do would change that. Yes Vegamo, you should learn to grow up and act honorably. By failing to legitimise her father's racist tendencies, you have shown that you have less integrity than him, and lack honour. Obviously the qualities she sees in her father are better than the qualities she sees in you, so like Dirch says, grow up and act honourably racist.

I suggest going straight to the bloke and telling him that you respect his infantile racist attitudes, which have no (racially specific in this case) grounding in his book of bedtime stories. Remind him that his gormless marriage of religious orthodoxy and right-wing racist attitudes help make him a unique and respectable member of the community at large, completely unlike any other right-wing religious bigot roaming the land of the free at this moment.

Drich is completely right, he hopes people get aids and cancer, and thinks that opposition to slavery is purely the result of 'political correctness', and who can argue with honourable virtues such as those? As much of a prick as this father seems, he can't force his daughter to do anything. Dude might be a racist asshole, but your girl sided with a racist asshole. Personally I know two people who's family threatened to disown them if they stayed with someone they didn't approve of. One was a white woman from a rich family that wanted to marry a black man, and was told by her father that if she married him he would cut her out of his inheritance. The other was an Indian man that was dating my aunt, and his family disapproved because they wanted an arranged marriage with an Indian woman. Both of them told their family to go screw. There are certainly consequences, but their are consequences for all of our actions and if she chose not to face them than it is her own fault, no matter how cunty her dad is.
