I lived north of Pittsburgh, which has its own dialect, Pittsburghese.

People who morph words together in ways they wouldn't. Alot isn't a word.

Unless you're going to India. Not sure exactly where Alot is, but it's there.

That's because Pittsburgh is a suburb of West Virginia. Tongue

People who refuse to do any research on their own claim, yet call me "close-minded" for not believing stupid claims on the internet.

RE: Pet peeves?
My pet peeves? Oh, I have plenty, but here's a few:

¤ People who don't wipe off the floor (Scruffy, I'm looking at you!!) after taking a shower. I hate when my feet get wet, especially if enveloped in a sock.
¤ People who sit next to me on the bus, when there's plenty of seats elsewhere.
¤ People standing too close to me e.g. on the bus stop or in a queue.
¤ People who can't listen to simple instructions.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Most of mine are car related:

When you let someone into traffic and they don't thank you (a simple wave will do).
When someone pulls out in front of you and then accelerates hard up to 6 miles an hour.
People who think once they've put their emergency lights on they can do ANYTHING physically possible with a car including, but not limited to, stopping in the middle of the road and getting out to run into a shop, a U-turn, throwing the car into reverse, getting into the left hand lane and then suddenly turning right, going the wrong way up a one way street.....
People who do all or any of the above without putting their emergency lights on.
Tiny people in huge cars that can barely see over the steering wheel.
Probably a hundred more if I think about it.
Kuusi palaa, ja on viimeinen kerta kun annan vaimoni laittaa jouluvalot!

I think i've posted more links to snopes pages in the last 12 months than pages I looked at in my first year of being on the net!

Middle lane hoggers on the motorway
People who use the motorway but do 50mph
Outsourced indian call centres that insist on following a script despite you knowing exactly what the problem is.
People who smoke stood in front of no smoking signs

the list goes on and on...
