Pet peeves?

RE: Pet peeves?
I have too many pet peeves to name. I really do. I'm a Grammar Nazi; I have many Driving Dos and Don'ts; people's manners and eating habits can readily get on my nerves. I could go on. But this about sums it up:

I never understood it. Why get out of the shower dripping wet and getting water all over the bathroom? Why not just towel off in the shower after you turn the water off? It's already wet in there from taking a shower and by toweling off in the shower you wouldn't have to wipe off the floors, all you would need then is a rug outside the shower to dab off your feet and presto, you're dry and the bathroom doesn't have to be wiped down!

As a German, I get viscerally disgusted and enraged when Americans confuse the supposed homophones "ie" and "ei"

Case in point: "Justin Beiber"

Aaaaaaaahrrrrrgh

Oh, I get so annoyed by that as well! Usually with me they'd not only refuse to be one upped but even find fault with what I'd done, so it's even worse!

I was speaking to my receptionist this morning and she was like "you have a cancellation" and I was like "can I have some tea then please" and she was like "we have no milk"

NO. You were not "like". You said. Also I seriously doubt that when people talk about how someone turned around and said something I doubt it to be the case unless they were pirouetting like ballarenas!

That's actually something I started doing years ago. It keeps me from getting the floor wet, and it's often warmer where the steam is than the rest of the room anyway. Not as chilly. Then I either put the towel down to step on, or just let the rug soak in what's left on my feet.

Yes. My problem is I love biscuits and am a vegetarian, so if you wedge meat into them, they suddenly become inedible for me. Angry
