When my new dog Buddy barks excitedly.
Okay, not that kind of pet peeve, but that is one I'm currently dealing with. Other than that some drivers annoy me. Especially those with their damned phone in their lap while I wait behind them to move.

Cigarette smokers.
They have no logical argument to be doing that shit, so it's pretty annoying to be around that, especially when there's weed which won't kill you and actually has positives.
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.

Anti cigarette smokers. They have a blind tendency to come over all "holier than thou"

Addiction is not really "logical". I don't know what you expect, QT.
PS - I did not become a full-time smoker until after my first spliff.

There is cognitive dissonance among cigarette smokers; where they either don't give a shit or they really are ignorant to facts. If they can give me a logical reason why cigarettes should be socially acceptable or legal, they can let me know, or they won't because it'll probably be some obfuscating argument like the "freedom to smoke" argument.

Damn right it's not, so let's leave the illogical notions of addiction aside.
Simple really, switch to weed, it's that easy. It's even in the reply you replied to.

All those taxes from cigarettes will have to come from something else if they are made illegal. Not saying they should even be legal - I actually want to quit cigs and wish they werent so available, but you do actually benefit from there being smokers.
Also - shaming smokers does not help them quit, does it? A lot of us started for stupid reasons and all the logic in the universe cannot turn back time.

Basically you're arguing for the cancer industry because it makes money. Congrats, I won't go down that low with you. People will get over cigarettes, once an entire generation doesn't have them, they won't be missed. And once weed is legal everywhere, most people will switch over and the tax money will come from that. Again, simple solution to cancer-sticks.

Again, its not that easy. Cigs are more available than weed. Weed does not quell nicotine cravings, and a lot of people top off smoking pot with a cig. So smoking pot now gives me huge cravings for cigs. Sorry reality is not as simple as you wish it to be. If it were, there would be very few smokers.
Also - not everyone can smoke pot. Many people can, but not everyone.
Actually I was just pointing out that you do benefit from the taxes on cigs. I actually do not like the cancer industry, thanks.

...Also, couldn't you use this argument against anyone in a thread like this? since they are pointing out things that bug them? Do you know how hypocritical you sound?... Holier than thou, ironic choice of words...

Lawlz. QT, you sound like a know-it-all college student yearning for recognition and attention. This doesn't make you wrong, but it's awfully pathetic.
