There was a boy, who's parents named him Odd. As you can imagine he caught incredible grief growing up, as cruel as kids can be sometimes, but Odd took it in stride, because his parents said it would pass. Then As Odd got older he noted that people still gave him considerable grief about his name. Even so Odd got married and made a life for himself. Even older still he had now became bitter about people calling him an 'Odd old man.' So he hated his name, and everyone except his wife. He said he looked forward to death so as to finally get some peace and be seperated from his name. He told his wife he resented his parents for naming him Odd and that it was his final wish that after he died no one was to ever speak the word Odd as a name again. So on his tombstone he requested that just his birthday and death day be recorded nothing else.. A few years later Odd did die, and his wife fulfilled his request, and to this day when someone passes the grave, with only a birthday and death day written on it they look down and say, it's that Odd?
