Can we prove Christianity wrong?

RE: Can we prove Christianity wrong?
Porn can't download itself, that's were you come in. There's always more porn...!

If one religion was somehow already proven true like some of the Chrisitians I've talked to at school, wouldn't EVERYONE be lining up behind that religion and following it? Big Grin

I was wondering Christians - What would it mean to you if Artificial intelligence became a reality? Would this disprove the soul, or the idea that we are only intelligent because of the souls god gave us?

Could an artificial mind have a soul - no. If I was confronted with a real life Data (Star Trek TNG) then I'd say yes.

Hi,
If you're trying to find a 'scientific' or 'logical' proof, it might be worth listing those particular specific features of christianity, religion, or theism you feel to be most important, and hence want to disprove, then trying to pick them off one by one. e.g.
1) Did Jesus exist
2) Was his Mum a virgin
3) Does religion have any value in society
4) Does God exist
etc etc (The list will probably be quite long).

Are you trying to 'disprove' Christianity, Religion generally or God ? (I see these as quite separate issues.) As has been said before it is difficult if not impossible to prove something does not exist (teapots around Mars etc.) Even Dawkins accepts that there is a small possibility that God does exist.

Theists love to talk in generalities, using philosophy rather than science or evidence to make their points, and as a result they are very slippery in debate. Make your questions short & simple, and direct.

3 and 4 aren't really relevant in disproving Christianity. 1 is not very well supported historically and 2 just plain defies the natural order.
