What do you think will happen, if all humans became atheists ?

I can't agree with you on this. The US beat the pants off the Soviet Union is scientific achievement during the cold war years. Practically all the greatest scientific achievements of the last few centuries came from christian US and western European countries. The most developed countries in the world were predomintly christian nations. Only recently have they turned away from christianity and now they are experiencing huge economic problems and losing their competitive edge to other nations like China, India and Korea who have growing christian populations.

All Christian nations are not equal. Catholic countries lag far behind Protestant countries.

The world would be a nicer place to live in without a doubt.

The reasons for this are long and plentiful, but to pick a few examples that immediately spring from recent memory:

We wouldn't have Christian cannibals eating Muslims in CAR.
We wouldn't have Muslims burning down churches in much of Africa.
We wouldn't have Catholic and Jewish paedophile rings committing horrific acts of child rape and molestation, and...getting away with it!

Most importantly, the fate of the world would no longer rest on the shoulders of dangerously insane groups and governments that put lives in danger based on whimsical fairy tales.

I hate this argument. No matter who is on top we are still the same species. Our capacity to be cruel or compassionate is evolutionary, not label based. However, that should not be used as excuse to either claim moral superiority, or coddle the insecurities of those who make absurd claims.

I do think the more humans understand nature and psychology, the less of a priority labels will be. I do not however see our grouping as an aspect of evolution ever going away.

I think people will put stuff about religion in the history books and talk about how dumb people were in the past


The major changes(in my opinion) would be :
1.The governments will increase their fundings on researches and scientific experiments , and thus science will advance very quickly .
2.Space travel for anyone .
3.no more wars .

One thing is for sure--Everyone is born an atheist.
