You mean your mainstream, materialistic science from the times of Newton?

No, actually, I mean my mainstream, materialistic science from the times of now.

Once, I had onion pie, fermenting wine and homemade schnaps in unlimited supply. Boy did I channel things from all available channels that night....

Well... It was a link to a book on Amazon by someone who claimed to channel god and had all the secrets of creation.

Seriously.

Now I'm left wondering how many books at amazon claim something of the sort...

Materialistic science is a contradiction in itself:
"As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear headed science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about atoms this much: There is no matter as such. All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter."
Max Planck german physicist winning the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1918.

And sere ze neue german guy iz gun agenn! Wat e pitti!

While the above Planck quote is a very questionable translation of a spurious German quote according to the Wiki discussion forum, it is true that Planck said some pretty spiritual wooey stuff. Which gets me to my point, because I encounter this on a regular basis: why do these new agey apologist people assume that

* it matters what some important physicist said about religion 80 years ago or so, and
* modern mainstream science is somehow ignoring the insights of quantum physics in lieu of "materialistic" science, which doesn't make sense since quantum theory with all its consequences is a main pillar of modern materialistic science.
