Slowing down the wind (a finite resource)

RE: Slowing down the wind (a finite resource)
Truly, America is a paradox. You've produced some of the best and brightest scientists and thinkers in the world. And yet you produce politicians like this guy, Palin, Cruz, Bush etc etc.

I mean what gives? Do you have career fairs where they screen people? "clever child? How about law, or medicine or engineering". "Oh you lick windows and write on walls in you're own excrement? Have you considered being in charge of everyone else as a career?

It's like putting homer Simpson in charge of MIT.

Knew the right people, ran at the right time.

Also;
Have you ever dated a girl, and you didn't know she was bat-shit crazy until way later on? Yeah, some politicians are like ex-girlfriends, they're good at hiding their crazy.
Not that good!

That's OK. We can just grow more trees to make more wind.
That's where wind comes from, right? I've noticed that the more the trees are swaying, the stronger the wind, so they must me making the wind like big fans.

Why is this in the science forum?
Looks more like humor...

I thought no. Can't be right. So I did snopes. It IS a misquote, but not by much.

Quote: "Wind is God's way of balancing heat. Wind is the way you shift heat from areas where it's hotter to areas where it's cooler. That's what wind is. Wouldn't it be ironic if in the interest of global warming we mandated massive switches to energy, which is a finite resource, which slows the winds down, which causes the temperature to go up? Now, I'm not saying that's going to happen, Mr. Chairman, but that is definitely something on the massive scale. I mean, it does make some sense. You stop something, you can't transfer that heat, and the heat goes up. It's just something to think about."

So there you go. Stop building wind turbines, you might slow down the wind.

I... I... I don't even...

Fucking WHAT?! People voted for this guy?!

The guy is from Texas, a notorious low IQ State. The voters there will vote for a cow chip, as long as it's a white Repub cow chip.

The state with the highest average IQ is Massachusetts at 104.3. The state with the lowest is Mississippi at 94.2.

Texas has an average that is completely average at exactly 100.0.

So why all the difference?

Well it has been well remarked upon for a very long time that certain minority groups such as hispanics and African Americans score lower on the IQ tests we use. This is often debated among experts as evidence that the tests are biased toward white culture.

http://www.psychpage.com/learning/librar...iased.html

From the studies I have read African Americans score lowest, Hispanics second lowest, Caucasians in the middle, Jewish and Asian the highest.

Quote:The Bell Curve (1994) stated that the average IQ of African Americans was 85, Latinos 89, whites 103, East Asians 106, and Ashkenazi Jews 113.

So, it stands to reason that the higher percentage of hispanics and african americans living in a state the lower the average IQ, correct?

Let's see.

Massachusetts
75.8 % Non-Hispanic White
7.9 % African American
10.1 % Hispanic

Mississippi
58 % Non-Hispanic White
37 % African American (largest percentage of any state)
2.7 % Hispanic

Texas
45.3 % Non-Hispanic White
11.8 % African American
37.6 % Hispanic

So when someone pokes fingers at states like Mississippi for having a low average IQ score, what you are really condemning them of having are large percentages of minorities.

So in other words low IQ white voters in Texas voted for a low IQ white politician.

So if you mix cold with hot, you slow thermal radiation (and convection to for those not in space) compared to holding hot and cold separate and then mixing.

However wind turbines would prevent mixing and slow mixing by wind. Thus keeping cold parts cold and hot parts hot. Great for ski and swim vacations. Seriously must be a lying guy trying to make a big lie for replacing global warming, except retarded and ugly and failing by making people research what the fuck he means rather than just accepting it a gospel and saying amen.

Thing is, as I understand it, Iq tests the brains processing power rather than knowledge. If you run Windows 95 on a modern computer it will run brilliantly fast... But not be able to do as much as a slower machine running Windows 7.

I know some people with tremendous iq's who'd starve to death locked in a larder!

I'll be honest, I didn't to much research on whether wind turbines slowed down the wind... :p
