Richard Dawkins' The Ancestor's Tale, it has been wonderful so far. It's a backwards chronology of evolution, with a forgivable start with humans, that takes us on a pilgrimage to the first concestor.

I've been finding some good (and really bad) fiction on my Kindle, and right now I'm in the middle of "Aetna Rising" by Erik Wecks. It's one of the good ones. Smile

It was soooo good! It took me like a month to finish...but it's great.

Right now I'm on Dawkins' "Climbing Mount Improbable".

Reading Circle of Magic quartet by Tamora Pierce it's actually a lot better than I remember. I'm surprised I didn't pick up on the Rosethorn/Lark relationship the first time around. But then I read lines like "Rosie likes birds almost as much as plants." Or the coin that has a lark with a rose vine in its mouth. That was so obvious I could kick myself.

I started reading "The Octopus's Garden: Hydrothermal Vents and Other Mysteries of the Deep Sea" by Cindy Lee Van Dover, and it's really awesome. I love books about oceans, and this woman piloted Alvin, the famous submersible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DSV_Alvin

The Night World novels by L.J. Smith.

Because it is young adult literature, I find the writing style to be less engaging than that of regular adult fiction novels. Otherwise, it was fast reading and interesting only to a point. If you hated Stephanie Meyers' Twilight books, I recommend staying away from these as well.

Secret Vampire
Daughters of Darkness
Spellbinder
Dark Angel
The Chosen
Soulmate
Huntress
Black Dawn
Witchlight
