The thing that tickles me is the idea that Iran would need to hijack an airliner! Like they don't have their own.

That was weird to read. What the hell is wrong with people making up so much detail?

Terrorism is a possibility, of course. I was watching a thing on Channel 5 last night that said they're particularly considering cyber terrorism as a possibility. But at this stage, when they haven't even found the plane, there are dozens of possibilities. We might never find out...

There is a functioning system available that can alert the airlines when such problems happen. The problem is that they don't want to spend the money to buy and install and operate it. So we will continue to have such events.

If the pilots are the hijackers what good does it do to have the passengers go through security screenings?
