Religious people do not have a monopoly on Hypocrisy

Religious people do not have a monopoly on Hypocrisy
So I was a great hypocrite as an unbeliever and have met many hypocrits who are unbelievers.
hyp·o·crite [hip-uh-krit] Show IPA
noun
1.
a person who pretends to have good qualities or virtues that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2.
a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, especially one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

There are many such people who are not deeply Religious.

At age 10 I read about Jeffry Dahmer and found out his victims were gay and thought to myself, "serves em right"...Yet I'm the piece of shit whose entertaining himself with the death and suffering of others.

I judged girls that dressed like sluts (but aren't I a selfish attention seeking crackwhore as well.) Being a believer and a necrophiliac, It is a sin for me to judge or tell a pervert or a homosexual they must be straight, lest I be blind to the transgression of the command to "not ask thy brother if thou can take the speck out of his eye when thou hast timber in thy own eye. Judge not lest yea be judged" -Christ.

It is because of such people that Jesus said that Prostitutes were getting to Heaven ahead of the Religious people of the time.

Thanks to my Religious belief's I no longer have hatred or judgement toward homosexuals and have made gay friends. (Fear of gay males (phobia can't always be controlled and is not hatred)

Im not anything close to Christian by deed, for looking at a woman with lust is adultery in the heart. I can't see her, hear her voice on the phone, or talk to her online without being bombarded with unruly passions and images of debauchery.

THe point is, my faith has left my conscience discontent with judging, condemning, or tell people how to live...Or tell people they have to do something because some ancient confusing book says so.

As a young rebellious punk I had two Catholic foster homes take me in, though I received sacrileges communions intentionally to piss them off, and blasphemed and rebelled constantly. They forgave me although by my actions I was incessantly pissing and shitting on the beliefs that made up the center of their lives and marriage.

I called my foster mom a bitch told them to go fuck themselves, abused drugs and was kicked out of both homes.

In high school there were many bigots bullying those whom they thought were fags. none of these showed any indication of being Religious or motivated by it.

In pine Hills correctional facility there was much violence and abuse. Sometimes so many pedophiles would be getting beat up at the same time in so many different places that there weren't enough officers to restrain everyone.

In my drug lodge I was punched, shanked, and at one point had to go to the ER because I had an attitude and ran my mouth. These were bloods, crypts, and juveniles without a conscience. The Christian inmates were few and their belief's and behavior didn't jive with the predominate antisocial mentality.

They thought I was possessed by Satan but never were cruel to me and wanted to help me have better behavior. It was through Spirituality and the pursuit of virtuous living that my eyes were opened to my depravity and hypocrisy.

When I went off to an adult jail as a mentally ill 19 year old (who looked 16), the person that looked out for me to make sure I didn't get sodomized (by depraved prisoners who hadn't seen a woman in a while), was a man well versed in Scripture that could fuck someone up if they tried anything.

Pardon me for a glorification of Christianity but the intention is simply to offer a little balance to the minds that are convinced that Religion is the worst thing that could happen to an individual, the human race, or the planet.

I found my peace and a healthier mind in the centering meditation of the Buddhist monks, the widsom and spiritual exercises of hindu yogis, the wisdom of the Catholic Saints, the Daoist sensitivity to nature, and prostrated toward mecca with Sufi Muslims in a New York Mosque to Worship Allah as well.

Not a Christian in deed or word, but a love and a desire for understanding, wisdom, self-control, prudence, patience, purity, stability, and maturity lead to new life. None of which I claim to have been perfected in by the way.

If you have nothing against someone watching porn and masturbating for an hour please have an equal tolerance for one who gets pleasure and refreshment from an hour of prayer, meditation, and study of Sacred Text.

If the Remedy bears fruit and healing don't avoid it. If it is making you judgemental, bigoted, and fanatical than it isn't the medicine for you. Switch to something else.

If Religion gives you misery please dont convert to my Faith. If you have found freedom, peace, joy, and wisdom in Atheism, then I rejoice with you on account of your liberation from the bondage of unhealthy "superstition" and "simple mindedness".

God bless you! I probably don't like you but love you and would much rather be verbally ransacked at an atheist forum than go to a Christian forum without fowl language and bullying... because I'd rather be affectionately caressing and humping the decaying trunk of a dead sycamore tree than be debating Creeds, commentaries, councils, Canons; or arguing the interpretation of parables, poetry, hyperbole...

...or what is or is not a literal exhortation in what is the most misunderstood, misrepresented, and misused book in History.

So... people are people?
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I guess the point I was making is I became more tolerant of others (less judgmental, less bigoted), more humble, more compassionate, and less psychotic after I became spiritual and a wisdom stalker.

However, it will be interesting to see how things turn out, because I came to this forum to realize that the God I pray to is a fictional character, and I'm a simple minded gullible dipshit for having any hope in him Wink Shades
