Besides, what about those of us who don't give a shit about jesus or the truly asinine things that the gospel writers put in his mouth?

I don't think the majority of thinking individuals agree with that as a goal (even though I agree it does appear to be the only goal) and search elswhere in culture. Whether the majority of voters on the other hand.. this is developing into less religion more politics, I'll take my bow.

Dang, I got here after too many responses, school has blocked my fav. proxy. Any more suggestions?

Anyway, religion already had its chance in government, called the dark ages... If we allowed religion again in gov't, wouldn't it be a New Dark Ages? (Lol, bad religion's song)
